Born in Portsmouth, England in 1949 Studied graphic design at Guildford Art School 1967-71 Worked as an art director in London based advertising agencies 1971-79 moved to Lantau island, Hong Kong in 1979 and worked as a freelance graphic designer 1979-94 has three grown up daughters and has travelled extensively around asia. moved to portugal in 1994 and now paints full time. My work is greatly influenced by my asian travels and my graphic design background. I am enjoying breaking away from the restrictions of a commercial artworld and am still experimenting and trying new techniques and styles in both drawing, painting and abstract design.
Nasci em Portsmouth, Inglaterra em 1949. Estudei Design graphico na Escola da Arte em Guildford, Inglaterra 1967-71. Trabalhei como Directora de Arte em varias agências publicitárias baseadas em Londres 1971-79. Em 1979 mudei-me para a ilha Lantau, Hong Kong em 1979 e trabalhei como colaboradora independente e designer de artes gráficas, 1979-94. Tenho três filhas crescidas e viajei extensivamente na Ásia. Mudei-me para Portugal em 1994 e agora pinto a tempo inteiro. O meu trabalho é influenciado pelas minhas viagens Asiáticas e a minha formação em artes gráficas. Estou a gostar de separar-me das restrições do mundo da arte comercial e de experimentar novas técnicas e estilos; tanto em desenho e pintura como o desenho abstracto.
