My work could be characterized by a desire of sheer nonending research like the more than 100 paintings of weeds around my house in Quelfes, which, zoomed in detail, although depicting reality, become often like abstract paintings. The same holds for the many almond tree paintings, fish from the market of Olhão, and other paintings of nature, old houses, sheds, in the area and views of Olhão. In short I report on my life here in Portugal. In Holland my subjects are also landscapes, sea(side)views, and not so much standard still-lives but for example the research into the existance of an empty cup on a tablecloth. I exhibited in various places in the Algarve, in Amsterdam, Noordwijk en Hamburg.
